I am posting a note I received from the beloved folks at kirtanorlando.org -
This note is beautifully written and I could not have done better, so please
read on and remember the beautiful light, love and humour that was (and will
always be) Shyamdas.
It is with
a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of our Beloved
kirtan wala and bhakti troubador extraordinare, Shymadas. He left his
body this past Friday evening due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle
accident in Goa, India. From all accounts he was happy, feeling
well, and in the bhava,
We remember him for his love of Bhakti
Yoga which he shared tirelessly with thousands of
seekers. He was a guide, a mentor, a friend, a teacher, a
brother and a light to us all. He was with us here in
Florida this past May 2012 and he touched so many lives. Thank you
Shyamdas, we are forever grateful for the sweet time you spent with us.
There are so many people sharing pictures, videos and memories of
Shyamdas on Facebook. If you are so inclined, it will warm your heart
to take a look at the beautiful shares happening
As Shymadas always said, "Hari decides all",
and so, we must accept Hari's decision to take Shyamdas from us at
this time, although too soon and too
Radhe, Radhe....Shyam! We will miss you
until we chant together, with you, again......
The photo above is of Shyamdas, when he was at Treehouse Yoga, Tampa, FL in May of 2012.
Shyamdas, you changed my life. I remember you always with love and gratefulness.
